Our LVP Installation Process
Home improvement projects can be stressful. We help put your mind to rest by providing expert consultation and a clear process for the project so you know what to expect every step of the way.
Consultation with Flooring Professional
When you work with Blue Ridge Floors, we assign a flooring professional to guide you through making the best decisions for your flooring project. Your flooring consultant will help you determine the best flooring product for your needs taking into consideration: style, patterns, budget, maintenance level, and environmental concerns like moisture level.
Once you’ve found your ideal flooring product, your consultant will gather the information required to provide you an estimate of work. This estimate will include the cost of the product, cost of labor, and when you can expect your project to be completed. If there are any contingencies, like potential supply issues or concerns about the stability of the subflooring, your consultant will discuss these with you and help you understand how they can change the cost and timeline of the project.
Next, your consultant will schedule your flooring installation, taking into account other work crews ensuring work is completed in the proper order -- you don’t want to install a new floor right before painting the ceiling or right after installing new quarter round.
LVP Flooring Installation
Below are the steps taken to install your LVP flooring:
-
Remove any items from the room
-
Carefully remove any quarter round or shoe molding - to be reinstalled later
-
Measure each dimension of the floor, taking into account permanent cabinetry
-
Plan the layout - make sure no edge planks will be too narrow and prevent overlapping seams
-
Cut and install the individual planks
-
Reinstall quarter round or shoe molding
-
Install threshold and/or transition strips
-
Move items back into the room
Invoicing & Follow Up
Once your flooring installation is completed, we’ll provide you an invoice with clearly itemized costs. Your flooring consultant will review your flooring installation with you, answer any remaining questions you may have, and provide education on cleaning and required maintenance.
